In the school of business and economics, we empower students to become transformative leaders and responsible professionals, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Through cutting-edge research, collaborative partnerships, and community engagement, we advance knowledge and practice in business and economics, shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.

The school is composed of three (3) departments which offer degree programmes in business and economics. The department are as follows:

  1. Department of Accounting and Finance
  2. Department of Economics
  3. Department of Business Administrations and Management Sciences

Vision:
To provide professional and Market driven courses that enable graduates fit in the labour market.

Mission:
To be a centre of excellence in teaching professional and market driven courses.

Objectives

  1. To train professionally competent business professionals
  2. To impart entrepreneurial skills for self-reliance
  3. To form partnerships with industry for ease of absorption of graduates into the labour market

Dr. Atieno Margaret has PhD in Business Administration, Finance Option from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Master of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance Option from Mount Kenya University (MKU), Bachelor of Education Arts (Economics and Business Studies) from Maseno University. She is a senior lecturer in accounting and finance at Kaimosi Friends University in the school of business and economics. She is currently the Dean School of business and Economics. As the Dean of the School of Business, I am committed to fostering a community of excellence in business education and research. With a Ph.D. in Business Administration, my expertise lies in strategic management and organizational behavior.
