Brief
Dr. Evans Ovamba Kiganda is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts (Economics & Mathematics) from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Maseno University. He is the founding and Current Chairperson of the Department of Economics, Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU. His research interests range from monetary, fiscal, health, gender inequality, poverty and food security issues. Kiganda has several publications in internationally refereed journals. He has extensive working experience in the public and private sectors as an administrator. He is serving as a chairperson for the department of Economics and has served as a chairperson and a member of various committees at KAFU and Technical University of Mombasa (TUM). In the Private sector, he has served as a Treasury Economist, an administrator and a relationship officer in Equity Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Kenya. Cumulatively, Kiganda has over 5 years University teaching experience at Undergraduate and postgraduate levels
